In the six months since I started using the Intralace, things have been great, I haven’t been pulling at all. And I certainly was a little bit worried that I might have done permanent damage to my hair. However I had faith that it would be ok, and it has been, so that’s great.

Seeing my natural hair for the first time in six months was incredible, it kind of had grown more than I could have hoped and it was just wonderful to see it again after so long and see it doing so well.

The Intralace has definitely helped regrowing my hair, and acts like a barrier - without it there’s absolutely no way I’d be at this stage, I was just trapped in a terrible cycle of slightly regrowing it and pulling again. So there is no doubt in my mind that the Intralace has helped so much.

I’ve definitely had urges in the last six months to pull my hair. I think that those urges are going to be there for a long time, because you know I’ve been doing it for a decade, so it’s not something that will just go away overnight, but the Intralace has meant that because I don’t get the sensation when I pull, that I don’t have as much desire to do it, so when I get the urges it’s much easier to resist and focus on something else.

Having a full head of hair for the first time in so long is just inspiring, it definitely makes me not ever want to go back to the place I was in, and seeing the regrowth as well certainly makes me never want to be in that place again.

If I met someone else with Trichotillomania I would tell them that the Intralace System acts as a barrier, which is a fantastic statrting point if you want to stop pulling your hair, because not only does it give you the confidence of a full head of hair again it will also stop you from pulling so it gives you the opportunity to regrow. So I’d just say that it’s just a fantastic opportunity to kind of kick Trichotillomania once and for all.

The last time I saw myself with a full head of hair was when I was 21, so that’s six years ago now, so it’s pretty incredible to see it again.

Since I started this journey it definitely seems like I’ve regrown 100% of my hair so it’s absolutely incredible.
