If travelling into Edinburgh by train and walking from the stations

Our Edinburgh salon is in the New Town area of the city just off the West End.

Take the Train to either Waverly Station which is at the East end of Princes St, or Haymarket Station which is roughly the same distance (0.7 miles, approx 13 minutes walk) from the studio to the West.

From Waverly Station

Exit either up the ramp into Market St or up the evelator and stairs to Princes St. If using the Market St exit turn right and walk up to Princes St. (see map)

Walk west along Princes St until you are almost at the end - South Charlotte St is on the right (opposite the large St Johns Church). Turn into it and we are a few yards up on the right hand side.

From Haymarket Station

Exit the station and walk west along West Maitland St and Shandwick Place until you reach the West End, at which point the view to the castle opens up and you walk forward into Princes St. Take the first left into South Charlotte St and we are a few yards up on the right.

If travelling into Edinburgh from the Airport

Our Edinburgh salon is at the West End of the city.

Take either the Tram or the airport bus service 100 from the airport. The trams run every 8-12 minutes. Both services take around 30-35 minutes to get to the city centre. The tram is smoother but slightly more expensive (currently £5). Taxis are also available and would cost around £20.

Alight from either of these services at the West End - the nearest tram stop is on Shandwick Place shortly before the West End, while the airport bus stops a few yards further on. If you miss either of these the next stops are just a little further on and you walk back instead of walking forward.
